When you deal with Sailpoint IIQ, You might hear about these two terms Authoritative & Non-authoritative. What exactly these are?
Authoritative Source: Authoritative sources are that sources on which Sailpoint can trust. Sailpoint trusts that data is genuine data.
This data is usually Identity data or information of employees of some organization.
so, Authoritative sources are usually from some HRMS system or data directly from some HR of an organization.
Non-authoritative: Non-authoritative sources on the other hand could be any source on which Sailpoint can not rely on the authenticity of data.
There is an option on Sailpoint to make any application authoritative or Non-authoritative while creating an application.
